IAGA Young Scientists' Committee
In 2004 IAGA established a committee of young scientists to
consider the current and future state of IAGA and IAGA science,
how the organisation was performing, and how it might, or should,
change. The committee's report was presented to the IAGA Executive
Committee and to the first meeting of the Conference of Delegates.

Task Group on the Future of IAGA
In 2003 IAGA established a committee of senior scientists to consider
the future of IAGA and IAGA science. The Task Group consulted IAGA
officers and National Correspondents by questionnaire and presented
the results to the IAGA Executive Committee and to the first meeting
of the Conference of Delegates. Draft recommendations were prepared,
including some of the ideas generated by the Young Scientists's
Committee.

At the second IAGA Conference of Delegates the decision was taken
to hold the 2009 IAGA Scientific Assembly in Sopron, Hungary. Contact
details are given below. The website will be live by the end of
